Dr. Jesse Jacob is a licensed psychologist, adjunct professor, TA, and former Director of Clinical Training for the Counseling PsyD Program. He developed a passion��for quality instruction��while at UC Berkeley for his undergraduate degree in German. There Dr. Jacob was trained and employed by UCB as a tutor, after which he spent a decade tutoring students in math, English, Latin, and German. He also has experience preparing students for the SAT and GRE. Dr. Jacob studied abroad in Berlin for one year and later taught English in Barcelona. He attained an M.A. in psychology from Antioch in 2013 and most recently a Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Pacifica in 2019.


Gioia Jacobson is a licensed marriage and family therapist and serves as Core Faculty and the MA Director of Research in the Counseling Department. Gioia received undergraduate degrees from Pitzer College in Psychology as well as English and World Literature: Creative Writing. Prior to completing her graduate work, Gioia studied holistic medicine for three years and obtained certification as a yoga instructor. Her current research focuses on ecopsychology as it relates to clinical practice.


Geoffrey is a poet, essayist, editor, and critic whose essays on literature, the visual arts, and other subjects have appeared in the Killens Review of Arts and Letters, ArtForum, American Literature, Cineaste, NKA Journal of Contemporary African Art, and elsewhere. His research explores poetics, modernist literature, African Americans and the visual arts, and the nuts and bolts of creativity.


Amy Jakobson, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice and an adjunct faculty member in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at 做厙勛圖. She holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has completed training at NYU's Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. She also has studied the integration of meditation as well as psychedelics into psychotherapy. Her research in the efficacy of various psychotherapies has fostered her interest in psychotherapy supervision.


Susan James is member of the core faculty at 做厙勛圖, and co-chair of the Community, Liberation, Indigenous, and Eco-Psychologies specialization of the M.A./Ph.D. program in Depth Psychology. Her work has focused on structural violence, transnational African spiritualities as resistance and innovation, visual design methodologies and research communication strategies. Her journal publications include American Journal of Community Psychology, Violence Against Women, and Women and Therapy.


Ayana Jamieson, PhD is the founder of the Octavia E. Butler Legacy Network, established in 2011, a global organization that fosters awareness of and builds community around Butler���s life and legacy. She is currently assistant professor of ethnic studies and at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.


Camille Jarmie, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in private practice, as well as Core Faculty and Associate Chair in the Clinical Psychology program at 做厙勛圖. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica in 2018 following a Master���s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling specializing in counseling with children and adolescents in 2011. Her clinical areas of expertise focus on supporting birthing families during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods, as well as early attachment, work with children and adolescents, and animal-assisted therapy through a depth orientation.


Rae Johnson��is a scholar/activist and registered somatic movement therapist who chairs the Somatic Studies specialization in the Depth Psychology MA/PhD program. The author of several books ��� including Elemental Movement, Knowing in our Bones, and Embodied Social Justice ��� Rae presents internationally on embodied activism, somatic research methods, and the poetic body.


Tiffany D. Johnson, PhD (she/her) is a work and equity scholar, writer, and educator. She earned her PhD in Management and Organizations from Pennsylvania State University and her Masters in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois.


Naamleela F. Jones, Ph.D, is a historian of religions whose research focuses on contemporary esotericism, mysticism, nonduality, and consciousness studies. Her work explores the intersections of Western esotericism, South Asian nondual traditions, and American metaphysical religion, with particular attention to how these cross-cultural transmissions challenge conventional paradigms and shape the global, post-traditional landscape.


Dr. Jones is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Core Faculty in the Clinical Psychology program at 做厙勛圖. He is a winner of the American Psychological Association's Division 39 Multicultural Scholar Award, and published an article in the Journal of Humanistic Psychology on the topic of self actualization. For the past few years, Dr. Jones has proudly served as an Adjunct Professor and taught several classes for psychology undergraduates at Azusa Pacific University, graduates of the clinical psychology Master���s program at Pepperdine University and 2nd and 3rd year clinical psychology doctoral students at Antioch University, Santa Barbara, and 做厙勛圖, Santa Barbara.


Donald is a Jungian psychoanalyst and clinical psychologist. He is a senior faculty member and supervisor with the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts, and teaches and leads workshops nationally and internationally. His celebrated book, The Inner World of Trauma: Archetypal Defenses of the Personal Spirit, explores the interface between contemporary psychoanalytic theory and Jungian theory as it relates to clinical work with survivors of early childhood trauma.


Nicole M. Karst, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist, licensed vocational nurse, educator, healthcare executive, and former Fleet Marine Force Navy Corpsman. She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Kadima Neuropsychiatry Institute in La Jolla, California, and maintains a clinical practice with Practical Recovery Psychology Group.


Patricia is the Program Chair of the Specialization in Integrative Therapy and Healing Practices. She has been a core faculty member at Pacifica for over 15 years, teaching and mentoring students in many of Pacifica���s programs. She was certified as a Jungian analyst 20 years ago, and has been a psychotherapist for over 30 years. Her research interests include the process of becoming a psychotherapist, the world of dreams, and the religious function of the psyche.


Christopher ���Doc��� Kelley is co-founder and organizer of Psychedelic Sangha in New York City. He received a PhD in religion from Columbia University where he studied Indo-Tibetan Buddhism with Robert A. F. Thurman. In addition to currently teaching at 做厙勛圖, he is also a part-time associate professor in Religious Studies at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, the New School University.


Born in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Gelareh Khoie is an artist, writer, scholar, and DJ. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), she is an adjunct professor in the Depth Psychology and Creativity program at 做厙勛圖 and the founder of Kosmos Institute. With over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and organizational leader, Dr. Khoie has led successful creative and educational businesses that have positively impacted the communities she serves. She lives in Stratford upon Avon with her canine companion, Prajna Georgie.


Jeffrey is a Jungian analyst living in Santa Cruz, California. He is also an adjunct faculty member of UC Santa Cruz in the Department of Environmental Studies and the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences


Gwendolyn holds a B.A. in psychology and M.A. in counseling psychology with an emphasis in depth psychology. She is currently providing counseling to students through Santa Barbara City College's Student Health Services, while also supporting students in the M.A. Counseling Psychology Program at Pacifica as a Teaching Assistant. Her past experience in the non-profit sector of Santa Barbara includes work in the field of death and dying, nature connection, and community counseling.


Aaron is now Emeritus faculty and has taught for the last 17 years at Pacifica and received the Distinguished Service Award in 2005. Outside the classroom, Aaron is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Santa Monica. He is often featured expert on juvenile justice and gender issues for national news media and as an advisor to organizations such as the Little Hoover Commission's Task Force on Youth Crime and Violence, The Center for Psychology and Social Change.


Allen has over thirty years' experience in counseling both as a Presbyterian minister and in private practice as a MFT and Jungian Analyst. Areas of interest include Trickster mythology, typology, relationships, alchemy and a special interest in the creative process both in its formal aspects and as an approach to life and individuation.
