James Meetze��is the author of five books of poetry, including��Phantom Hour��(2016) and��Dayglo��(2010), which was selected by Terrance Hayes as winner of the Sawtooth Poetry Prize, both published by Ahsahta Press. His two most recent books are��Neki Novi Hramovi��(Some New Temples), translated into Croatian by Ivana Bo禳njak (Naklada Bo禳kovi��: 2020) and��Kasno u Dugome Sada��(Late in the Long Now),��translated into Serbian by Uro禳 Ristanovi�� (No Rules Izdava禳tvo, 2020). He is editor, with Simon Pettet, of��Other Flowers: Uncollected Poems��by James Schuyler (FSG, 2010). His poetry has been translated into Spanish, Turkish, Finnish, Serbian, and Croatian. He is also co-writer and executive producer of the short film,��The Conservationist, which was an official selection at multiple international film festivals and won Best Thriller: Short at the Grand Budapest Film Festival.��Meetze holds a B.A. in Literature and Creative Writing from University of California, Santa Cruz, an M.F.A. in Creative Writing: Poetry from Mills College, and received his doctorate in����from 做厙勛圖 where his thesis was entitled, ���Orphic Capability and the Lyric Self: Multiplicity and Self-making at the Threshold of Contemporary Poetry�����He divides his time between Split, Croatia and San Diego, California, where he teaches writing and film studies at University of Arizona Global Campus and in the MA in Engaged Humanities & the Creative Life at 做厙勛圖.
